Espresso 44 Have Snap

Have Snap

Have you ever noticed how some people are just so productive?-They’re always doing stuff and making progress. They seem to have boundless energy and their days seem to have more than 24 hours. Do you think those kinds of people are just naturally created to be overachievers and there’s nothing the rest of us can do to catch up?
No, that’s probably not the case. It’s much more likely that they live by simple common sense guidelines that directly contribute to their being stronger, healthier, more productive and more energetic.
Here are a few basic tips that we’re all familiar with, but often overlook. If you want more snap in your life, more zest and to have more fun, you might only need to change a few simple lifestyle points to reach those goals.

Look alive, create positive energy.
You get what you want and expect out of life. If you’re dragging through the day, bored, lazy and unfocused, don’t think you’re going to have a fabulous day full of challenge and excitement. You will sabotage your own inspiration by dragging your feet, doing half-way jobs, and not disciplining your mind or body.
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Pro 23:7) And “according to your faith it will be done unto you.” (Matt 9:29) Basically this means that you’ll get what you expect out of life.

Ultimate joy: The key of ultimate joy will send spiritual endorphins surging into your spirit to bring you deep satisfaction in your labors. (Key Promise)

Have pride in who you are, and your calling, heritage and career.
What impression do you give others about your own worth? How you dress, speak, carry yourself, and treat others shows what kind of person you are. If your posture is poor, if you’re sloppy and slovenly, and you look uninterested and spaced out, then don’t expect people to treat you with respect. That look and demeanor is not professional and it doesn’t inspire confidence.
You represent Jesus, His Word, and a tremendous Christian movement that’s reaching the world. You are an ambassador of the Kingdom of God. Take pride in who you are and what you do.

Fidelity: Greater strength to do My will, increased determination to fulfill your promises to Me, unswerving loyalty to Me, obedience to My Word, and faithfulness to My commission will be given to you by My Spirit when you call on the key of fidelity. By dedicating yourself wholly to Me, in total surrender, you make room for the totality of My power in your life. (Key Promise)

Act with purpose (Don’t just take things as they come).
If you don’t know where you’re going, you will certainly never get there. If you just take life as it comes, floating along, you’ll end up bored, unsatisfied and unsuccessful.

Constant revolution: If you want to remain My “new blood” disciple, claim the keys of constant revolution and the cobwebs of lethargy will not be able to get a hold on you. (Key Promise)

Plan ahead and prepare.
Few people plan ahead as much as they should, and therefore they’re usually not well prepared. That lack of forethought results in scrambling, not having what you need, and things not going as smoothly as you had hoped, which is ultimately not very fulfilling. Plan your work and your free time. Make lists, write things down, be more methodical. Start planning way in advance. Think ahead to what you will need and where you will get it. Budget your finances so you have the money you need, when you need it. Communicate in advance with those affected by your plans.

Prevision/Organization: When you access the keys of prevision and organization by getting down to business with Me and planning ahead, I will see to it that your initial sacrifice of invested time is more than repaid with successful and miraculous results. (Key Promise)

Know what’s important to you.
If you don’t know what is important to you, you’ll never reach your goals. Take time to think about where you’re heading, where you want to be in five years. Set goals. Make a personal plan for growth, write it down. Include deadlines. Draw up a personal mission statement that articulates the values you live by, the things that are truly important to you. Learn new skills, languages and ministries. Energetic people are sponges for the new, always looking to improve and loving the journey.

Clearing the fog: The keys can clear the fog descending upon your convictions, so that you know exactly what you’re living for. (Key Promise)

Have a daily and weekly schedule.
Factor into your schedule when you’ll do such things as personal prophecy time, Word time, prayer vigil, follow-up calls, meetings, exercise, study, Home duties, witnessing and follow-up, washing and ironing your clothes, cleaning and organizing your room, sex and dating, recreation, etc.
Try to have a routine, a pattern in your days and weeks. Not that you would never do something spontaneous, but when there’s regularity, you get more done.
Write out your schedule.

Organization: Depend on the keys of organization, wisdom, focus, clarity and peace of mind, and you will have precisely what you need at the exact moment you need it-not a minute too late. (Key Promise)

Redeem the time.
Once you become mindful of making good use of your time, you’ll get more done and feel better about yourself. This doesn’t mean you need to be working all the time. But don’t just hang out when you’re supposed to be working. Work hard, play hard.

Inspiration: Claim the keys of inspiration when you feel uninspired with a task or ministry, and you will once again feel vigor and life running through you. (Key Promise)

Be accountable to yourself and others.
Declare your intentions openly regarding the goals you’ve set, your plans and dreams, what you want to learn, how you want to progress, etc. Hold yourself to your commitments and ask others to do the same for you. Ask others to check you, monitor your progress and remind you when you’re slipping.

Action: I have given you the power you need in the keys to obey and put into action even the difficult things I show you. (Key Promise)

Get enough sleep.
A lot of mental sluggishness, lack of energy or even being sad or in a bad negative mood can be attributed to lack of sleep. Get enough sleep. It’s worth the extra time to sleep enough, as you’ll make it up with greater productivity and focus when you’re working. Going to bed early is the best way to get enough sleep. Some people hold to the idea that the hours you sleep before midnight are two or three times more rejuvenating than those after midnight. It doesn’t take long to figure out that if you go to bed early, you’ll have a much better chance of getting up early and feeling great the next day.
Getting quality sleep and being in good health is the key; avoid laziness, sluggishness, and over-sleeping by claiming the help of Styrian and rebuking Lethargy.
Alcohol can affect the quality of your sleep. While having a drink might make you sleepy so that you fall asleep more easily, it prevents your body from going into deep sleep. Therefore, it’s advantageous not to drink alcohol too close to your bedtime.

Regeneration: When you lie down, commit your sleep to the keys. Call on the keys of regeneration and your dreams will be sweet, your bodily strength replenished, and your spirit fed. (Key Promise)

Exercise.
If you want to be fit, maintain the proper weight, stay limber, create energy and avoid injury, exercise! Vigorous exercise also results in a boost in your mood. Look better and feel better with vigorous exercise that is matched well to your age, strength level and preferences.

Perseverance: When you claim the keys of perseverance, I will help you to stick with your exercise program even on those days when you don’t feel like it. (Key Promise)

Drink water.
This sounds simple enough, but it’s surprising how many people drink little or no water. Did you know that 85% of your brain is water? If you’re feeling foggy-headed and can’t concentrate very well, it could be a lack of water. When your body is dehydrated it can result in mental confusion. It’s important to drink good quality water, if possible, with the least amount of chlorine, fluoride, and other chemicals.

Faith to obey: Through the keys you can claim faith to obey, a desire for the right things, and even a change in your likes and dislikes. (Key Promise)

Be moderate, have a balance.
Lots of people live in an extreme manner which often results in negative excesses, such as not sticking to the alcohol guidelines, playing sports too hard and ending up with a debilitating injury, staying up till the wee hours of the night and being wiped out the next day, etc.
It’s important to realize that there are always consequences attached to your actions. If your actions are extreme, in a negative way, they could affect your health, you might waste the next day entirely-you could end up with a miserable hangover, you could get sick for a few days and end up wasting more time, etc. When you’re not at your best, time is wasted and you’re not going to make progress in reaching your goals.
Connect the dots, and realize that it’s a matter of cause and effect; X action will bring X result; act accordingly. For example, realize that if you over drink, you will likely be hung over the next day, it will be a waste of time, you won’t do a good job the next day, you’ll feel lousy and be a bad testimony, etc. And, of course, overdrinking goes against the Charter, the Word, and the rules for healthy living.

Balancing bar: Call on the balancing bar key as you step out onto the tightrope of decision-making. Claim its power to help you keep all the details and the varied aspects of the issue in balance, so that each decision brings you a step closer to the final goal. (Key Promise)

Hang with committed professional people.
Most people mimic the people they associate with. If you spend your time with conscientious, disciplined, kind, well groomed, fit people, you will likely reflect the same qualities.

Conviction: Through the keys of conviction you can be a strength and a blessing to your peers, and I will help you to lift Me up and buck the status quo without the curse of self-righteousness or pride hampering your sample. (Key Promise)

Take initiative, don’t be apathetic.
Anything in life that’s worth something costs. Nothing of value comes easy. This means you have to work hard, put in the hours and be willing to sacrifice. Don’t wait for others to tell you what to do. Be a self starter. See the need, respond.

Overcoming: The key of overcoming is given to you, and as you call on it, I will grant you the power to rise above in victory, to overcome in triumph, and to change even those things about yourself that you thought were an immovable, long-standing part of your nature and personality. (Key Promise)
